Hello strangers! It has been quite some time since I last posted and I apologize but life has been throwing me this way and that way for the past 2 months. Sadly I am out of time to update you all right now because I am going to Thailand again! Literally I leave in an hour...oops. Being called back to Thailand by God and leading this team has been such a journey of personal growth and we haven't even left yet! {eat with me} Northern Thailand

I like to eat. Fatkidlovescake type of deal as if you didn't know. One of the aspects of Thailand that I truly love is the food. 1. It's cheap! 30 baht = $1 USD Most meals (including a drink) were under

 40 baht! Our daily meals were bread/yogurt for breakfast, lunch at the school (pictured below), and dinner on the street at the many food stalls.

There were occasions when the meals were more elaborate meals such as our visit to the Akha village.

However, one of the most memorable meals was kindly hosted by one of our students at her house. Her family owns a farm where they raise fish, grow bamboo, harvest sticky rice, and her mom is a cook !!

Everything was absolutely amazing and there is so much more that I wish I could share but looking back at all of these photos I am starting to get hungry. #fatkidproblems

Evangelistic Goodbye "Sanook Sanook" Party !!

After I left last year my heart was full of sadness and discontent because I regretted not going after those opportunities to share God's love. Going into the second week of the mission's trip I was anxious but I was also filled with such peace. I felt God letting me know that whether these students make decisions now or not I was a part of their spiritual journey. This peace and relief truly allowed me to enjoy the last week with the students :)

I leave for Japan in 5 days so look out for some last minute food posting !

In between our two weeks of teaching at MoPoSo we were given the chance to visit a local Akha village up in the mountains. It was such a blessing to meet the people there and their hospitality and generosity was amazing despite their limited resources. We attended their church and worshipping with other believers was so refreshing in a country that is almost entirely Buddhist. A small bonus was the incredible food and hilarious children that we played with all weekend.

The past three weeks have been pure blessings. It is hard to believe that last week I was sweating in Thailand and now I am layering sweaters in LA. I wanted to share some photos from our first week because if I tried to post all of my photos here my computer would most likely yell at me and then freeze. That first week truly taught us to rely on God first and in turn felt His provision for us at every turn. Whether it was worrying about how many students would show up to our afterschool program, trying to find a classroom to hold our time (we held it in the rain outside once), or our health, God was constantly answering our prayers.

JITTERBUG

In 2 hours I will be down at church preparing with the team to load up the vans.
In 4 hours I will be checked in at the airport preparing to board.
In 6 hours I will be on sitting in a plane probably fast asleep from exhaustion.
In 16 hours I will be waiting in Korea for a flight to Bangkok.
Tomorrow I will finally be in Thailand.

For the past 6 months everything has been leading up to this trip. All of the planning meetings, supply shopping, evangecube studying, and teaching-clothes shopping. I am nervous sitting at home writing this because I know that for the next two weeks I have the opportunity to completely rely on God. He will reveal my weaknesses and my inadequacies (but after the past 6 months I am used to that).

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.

Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

John 14:27

Thank you to everyone that has been supporting me on this missions trip. I feel truly blessed :)

Just a look into the first few days of my two week mission in Thailand! Mostly taken the first few days, our team got to be tourists for a little while and see the Golden Triangle area (intersection of Burma, Laos, &Thailand); as well as visit the Bethel Bible Institute. Seeing God's creation and the people that are trying to seek God earnestly there gave us passion to reach out to the Thai people the rest of the trip.
