The past three weeks have been pure blessings. It is hard to believe that last week I was sweating in Thailand and now I am layering sweaters in LA. I wanted to share some photos from our first week because if I tried to post all of my photos here my computer would most likely yell at me and then freeze. That first week truly taught us to rely on God first and in turn felt His provision for us at every turn. Whether it was worrying about how many students would show up to our afterschool program, trying to find a classroom to hold our time (we held it in the rain outside once), or our health, God was constantly answering our prayers.

JITTERBUG

In 2 hours I will be down at church preparing with the team to load up the vans.
In 4 hours I will be checked in at the airport preparing to board.
In 6 hours I will be on sitting in a plane probably fast asleep from exhaustion.
In 16 hours I will be waiting in Korea for a flight to Bangkok.
Tomorrow I will finally be in Thailand.

For the past 6 months everything has been leading up to this trip. All of the planning meetings, supply shopping, evangecube studying, and teaching-clothes shopping. I am nervous sitting at home writing this because I know that for the next two weeks I have the opportunity to completely rely on God. He will reveal my weaknesses and my inadequacies (but after the past 6 months I am used to that).

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.

Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

John 14:27

Thank you to everyone that has been supporting me on this missions trip. I feel truly blessed :)

LOVE update

If you follow my Twitter then you saw this picture that I took a while ago of my new JewelMint L.O.V.E. separate rings. Since I received them they have been in regular rotation with the rest of my ring collection, and although they would seem inconvenient with their protruding appearance they are quite simple yet eye-catching.

While we are on the subject of love I am pleased to announce... that I am t-minus 7 days until my trip back to Thailand! (i bet you thought i was going to say something else. hah!) Currently my feelings leading up to this trip have been a broad spectrum of excited, nervous, frantic, and tired. Nevertheless God has been/ is so good!

Now I would love to go relax and hangout with friends! Until next time!

AHOY! After a grueling two weeks of uni final exams I am still alive and kicking. There were so many occasions that I resisted the urge to post something instead of study, but as I have grown a older recently I pushed aside those happy opportunities and studied some more.

here's to summer

Have you ever had a headache and wondered what the reason was, just to discover that your hair is weighing your head down? Me too! Yes, a lack of sleep the past few days and this SoCal heat could have something to do with it, but the moment after my hair was cut yesterday afternoon - bliss. This is step two to getting ready for summer! Step one: wishing this uni semester was over already ...check.
